| Zoho Writer went from a word processor to a work processor | | Zoho Writer's biggest update of the year is here. We launched Zoho Writer in 2005 as our first SaaS app. Fifteen years later, we are still keeping the innovations coming. | |

| With this release, Writer has gone beyond words to become a work processor; we've added new analytics tools that provide engagement insights, intelligent templates for automating work, fillable documents to replace PDF forms, and more. | In the news: The Zoho Experiment | | Previously, we've talked about our "rural revival" initiative. That vision is now becoming a reality as we experiment with opening satellite offices to house 10-20 employees. Zoho's CEO, Sridhar Vembu, recently appeared in a Forbes India cover story to discuss this initiative. As mentioned in the article, we already have two smaller offices in rural areas of India, but we are now expanding our programs to find and train local talent, build offices in even the smallest of villages, and be able to make a meaningful impact on the communities where we live. | | | | Sridhar is leading by example, and believes that this experiment is already paying off. In late 2019, he moved from his home—near our Pleasanton, California office—to live full-time in a rural Indian village. Since then, he's developed a passion for agriculture and teaching, spending time each day on activities that directly benefit his local community. | Zoho's event experience: Our transition to virtual events | | At Zoho, we love actively engaging with our community, users, and prospects through face to face events throughout the year. With COVID-19, it's no surprise that these events are being canceled for the foreseeable future. Since March, we have hosted many virtual events, ranging from webinars to virtual one-on-one meetings to panels with Zoho experts.
